Autumn in Ontario metal print by Ningning Li. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. My husband and I visited Canada in Oct. last year. We stayed a few days with our friend whos home is just facing Lake Ontario. I feel that I was in Heaven. Those dramatic brilliant autumn colour made me breathless. They were so beautiful that I could not resist to paint them.
About Ningning Li
I was born in Beijing, China. Now I am living in Lima, Peru. During the Chinese Cultural Revolution(which lasted from1966-1976), my family was separated and sent to the provinces. My eldest sister was sent to a remote countryside village. She took care of the farmers as a "barefoot doctor". I borrowed medical books and copied the texts and sketched those bones, tissues, muscles and organs and sent them to her pages by pages for her to study. That was my only drawing experience during those years. Art was hence more of a must under the circumstances but by no means a desire. I had my artistic awakening six years ago but it only lasted for one year. I was lured by the Marinera Norteņa, Peru's most famous folkdance, and became drunk for...

Marvin, Thanks. When I was visiting Canada in autumn, I was so impressed by those burning colours. They made me so exited . I had to paint it out to make myself calm down. I am glad that you like it.

Thank you very much Randi, especially as it was the first time that I used the palette knife to paint big area. So difficult to control. I was not only painting the canvas but my face , my clothes and floor as I was so nervous that I dropped the knife many times. Your comment is so encouraging.
