Artist's Description
While travelling through a mountain village in Cajamarca, Peru, I came across this lovely scene. I was fascinated by the happiness of these two ladies walking and talking to each other in their typical Cajamaquinian hats and dresses. I had to capture this scene through the bus window sneakily took a photo and painted it later at home. I tried to take an everyday scene and transform it into something beautiful with emotion that transmits the viewer the feeling of being there in the street with them and hearing them talking to each other. NINGNING LI
While travelling through a mountain village in Cajamarca, Peru, I came across this lovely scene. I was fascinated by observing these two ladies walking and talking to each other in their tipical Cajamarquinian hats and dresses. Through the bus window I captured this scene by my camera and painted it home. I love and try to take an everyday scene and transform it into something beautiful with emotion. Like this one, I tried to make the viewers to feel that they were there in the street and hearing these two ladies talking to each other. For this motive, I did simplified the background.
